Feature film directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, co-written with Isabel Peña and starring Javier Bardem and Victoria Luengo.
The film explores the complex relationship between a prestigious film director, marked by a past of violence and excess, and his daughter, an actress with whom he works again after years of estrangement. The shoot forces them to reunite and confront old wounds in a story about family ties, power and relationships within the film industry.
The film had its world premiere in the Official Competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it competed for the Palme d’Or, and subsequently continued its international festival run at Karlovy Vary, Melbourne, Toronto and the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
Released in Spanish cinemas on 26 August 2026, it was also one of three films shortlisted by the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences to represent Spain in the Best International Feature Film category at the 2027 Academy Awards.
