A play written and directed by Pablo Remón and starring Javier Cámara, Israel Elejalde, Marta Nieto and Emilio Tomé.
Premiered on 1 October 2026 at Nave 10 Matadero in Madrid, the production charts the rise and fall of Verborrea, a fictional punk band formed in the late 1980s.
Structured like an old cassette tape, with a Side A and a Side B, the play tells, through different voices and perspectives, the story of two brothers raised in the Valley of the Fallen under the authority of a Francoist father. Rebellion, punk and a rejection of established power structures shape a story in which the characters’ memories complement and contradict one another, creating different versions of the same past.
Conceived as a tragicomedy, *VERBORREA* reflects on the passage of time, friendship, unfulfilled dreams, legacy and the need to construct our own narratives, while exploring the resilience of those who live on the margins of society.
A production by Nave 10 Matadero and Buxman Producciones.
